Fantastic Voyage: Various Stages of Maya Progression

1. Preparing the prokaryotic cell for the animation stage:

Unfortunate disappearance of eye lids. Many deformers, hundreds of copied elements.

At first the prokaryotic cell was supposed to be textured, although I decided to have him only bum mapped as the textures where not working quite how I wanted them to.

Comparision of the pre-viz quality and bum mapped render.

Fantastic Voyage: Pre-Viz and Animatic

For the Pre-Viz I decided to stay with the version without sound effects, although they are going to appear in the final animation.
Few scenes and details are going to be refined in After Effects and during the actual process of animating.

And again the animatic; just for the comparision.

Fantastic Voyage: Models

I decided to go for a version without textures as it seems cleaner and more suitable with the story.
1. Eukaryotic cell:
blending shape is going to happen here

2. Prokaryotic cell:

3. Lab equipment:
glass and pincette

Fantastic Voyage: Modelling Progress - Eukaryotic Cell

I started modelling this guy before Easter but other things kept me busy.
I decided to start with the easier cell, and here it is - the prokaryotic one. I am still not sure how to create his mouth (I am considering After Effect in later stages) and how to UV him properly, as I would like the colour to be less clean and more varied? Maybe some cartoonish stroke.
